Harvest from date palm groves in southwestern Iran

Each year, dates are harvested from the southwestern date palm groves in Khuzestan – the second largest date producer in Iran – between August 22 and September 21. This year, it is predicted that over 187,000 metric tons of dates have been harvested from 17 provincial cities. The dates from Khuzestan are exported to various Asian and European countries.
